Maison Margiela

25 years ago Margiela invented the oversize look and since then nobody knows how to do it better. Margiela's clothes give the impression of being mismatched: clothes are rarely made to follow the lines of the body, opting instead for the alternative XXL. Dresses are often inspired more by the rules of architecture and sculpture than by classic tailoring. The avant-garde shapes allow the clothes to be fluid in genre, contradicting the norm to become a symbol of silent security and exclusivity.
