Jil Sander

I happen to go to a fashion show and be struck by something: a combination, colors, an impetus towards new forms. So I found myself in Paris in the nineties and I discovered that Jil Sander makes the oversize wearable, essential, simple. From that moment I always kept it under control. These Teutonic grays, this femininity with its rigor. Jil Sander expresses herself without exhibitionism, without being eccentric. Trousers and jackets with clean lines, almost "masculine", for those who insist on obsolete concepts such as gender, a "strong and pure" style as she describes it herself. I struggle to imagine you at those meetings without one of her dresses.
